It all started when we successfully developed our own natural enzyme production technology. Through enzymatic process we were able to make from different kinds of sacaroses sources such as “demerara” and “mascavo” - natural and highly nutritious inverted sugar.

Today our product formulas are protected by patents, pioneering the inverting sugar process- using a 100% natural and plant base ingredients in an industrial scale.

Our technology

We do just like the bees do in nature. We take a good healthy source of sugar and we break it to create a natural very nutritional inverted sugar using the same enzymes bees use to create honey.

Bio invert sugar is a modern and efficient way to address drinks sweetening, while improving the final product’s quality. TecBio has already run tests that enabled the reduction of up to 15% of the sugar amount when compared to liquid sugar.

Technical: (1) dissolves more efficiently, (2) better development of the flavour, (3) increases resistance to microbial spoilage (better shelf life), (4) act as a potential sweetener helping to reduce calories, (5) adds body to the final product.

Ice cream/ sorbets industry

Main advantages

Sensory:  the combination of glucose, fructose and sucrose in the right proportion delivers a final product with better texture, creaminess, and scoopability.

Technical: (1)  Sugar reduction enabled as it is sweeter than ordinary sugar, (2) It depresses the freezing point when compared to sucrose, also improving final product’s scoopability, (3) Acts as an alloying element equivalent to sucrose, (4) It passes through a filtration process and is therefore free of unwanted solids.

Unrefined sugars can extend the capability of improving recipes with unique flavours. For example, the usage of burnt sugars can provide a unique caramel taste in the final product. 

 

Animal Feed

Invert Molasses, a TecBio solution, is a great alternative for animal feed.

Main advantages

Its composition guarantees a wide range of minerals and vitamins, and it can be blended with other ingredients.

The high brix provides an 8 month period shelf life, and the majority of glucose and fructose in its composition contributes to digestion, improving the efficiency and quality of the feeding process. When using a sucrose-based feed the animal digestive system has to break down the molecule in order to consume it, losing energy in this process.
